Natural Tub Scrub and Carpet Cleaner in one? Sign me up. That’s right this is a two in one recipe I’m going to share. It’s multi-purposeful and really easy to make. You probably have most ingredients in your own home.
I use it in my shower, tub, and sinks and it works like a dream! Just shake a little on the surface and scrub with a little elbow grease and spotless. Then, you can also use it as a carpet cleaner. Just sprinkle some on the carpet or your rugs before vacuuming and vacuum it right up for a fresh, clean smell.
All this recipe calls for is baking soda and a few drops of essential oils. I use Young Living’s Purification which is good for eliminating odors. You could use Thieves & Lemon too which is great for cleaning as well. You can also add salt to for extra scrubbing abilities, if desired.
Let’s get started! Use this recipe to replace ALLLLL the toxic bathroom cleaners you are currently using. Please, use them up so you are not wasteful and use this as a replacement instead or ditch the toxins altogether.

Tub Scrub & Carpet Cleaner
- 10 drops Young Living Purification essential oil or essential oils of choice {click here}
- 2 cups baking soda {click here}
- 16 oz. Mason Jar {click here}
- Tape Label {click here}
- Scrubby {click here}
Fill mason jar with 1 cup of baking soda. Add 5 drops essential oil and mix. Add second cup of baking soda and 5 drops of essential oil and mix again.
