Thieves Household Cleaner to the rescue. Thieves? I don’t get it. Yes, Thieves. You can read more about one of my favorite immune boosting essential oils here and the many ways I use it.
The reason it’s called Thieves is for exactly what the definition means. It’s a blend of oils that thieves were using during the plaque in order to protect themselves from the virus while they were robbing sick, wealthy peoples homes. Huh? I know, right. Legend has it that they only wanted to catch the thieves so they could find out what they were using. They wanted to know why the thieves were not getting sick. They didn’t care at that point what they were stealing! And so, Thieves essential oil was born from their remedy.
Fast forward to now. As I am writing this, we are currently in the middle of a world-wide pandemic. Cleaning supplies are currently SOLD OUT everywhere. Ironically enough I happen to have lots and lots of Thieves essential oil and Thieves cleaner that I have been able to make my own, natural, cleaning supplies. Who knew I was already preparing for this time, I had no idea.
I want to share this with you now so you can learn of alternative options for household cleaning. You too can be ready for the inevitable and be sustainable by using what you already have. I have spent a lot of time researching these oils and share what works I the hopes I can inspire you to think differently and look for natural solutions.

Thieves Natural Household Cleaner
- 15 drops Young Living Thieves essential oil {click here}
- 1/2 TBSP Baby Mild Unscented Castile Soap {click here}
- 1 cup distilled water {click here}
- 8 oz. Amber Glass Spray Jar {click here}
- Tape Label {click here}
Mix all together and shake before each use.
When using this cleaner I use Norwex microfiber cloths that also aid in cleaning up 99% of bacteria from surfaces. The great thing about Norwex is they are sustainable and can be used and washed and reused and repeat. The two combined more than get the cleaning done!
