Citrus Fresh is a bright and invigorating scent with a hint of minty coolness. This blend is a burst of citrus goodness including Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange, Tangerine, Mandarin, and Spearmint. Talk about refreshing!
I use Citrus Fresh for a few different things. It makes a great room spray, so clean and refreshing. Just mix a few drops with distilled water in a 2 oz. glass jar and spray away. It is a citrus oil so be careful what type of container you use. Citrus essential oils eat plastic so you have to use glass or metal with them. You can read some essential oil safety tips here.
It also, is great for putting a few drops in a glass of ice water. So refreshing! Especially with the minty taste to it. It’s really good before and / or after a workout. But again, be careful not to use plastic! Citrus essential oils are also photosensitive so be careful not to use in the sun as well.
I actually just discovered this essential oil a few weeks ago. I’ve had it for awhile but haven’t really used it and am trying to teach myself new remedies to use essential oils for.
Part of the beauty of my essential oil adventure is discovery…learning new recipes, finding new uses, replacing toxic products, etc. Just the experience of researching and understanding what works best for me is part of the fun. Sometimes it’s a lot of trial and error but that’s true for a lot of things. Even with modern medicine. We always resort to what works and finding and trying a natural remedy before going to medicine is the best feeling! I always try to find a natural remedy first, then if that doesn’t work resort to what I do know. No reason I can’t introduce something new to my routine from time to time. Who doesn’t like a little change from time to time.
