Hi friends, let’s talk about essential oil containers and where to get the best deal. When it comes to making your own essential oil recipes, there’s a container for everything! I always stock up and order containers for my everyday products in bulk. Therefore, I have containers on hand so I can readily make gifts and samples for friends and family. In addition, it also saves me money in the long run. My favorite containers are the cobalt blue ones, so pretty! Many of the oils should be protected in a dark container, so this does the trick. My general thinking is cobalt blue containers for beauty products, amber for cleaning products, and clear for everything else.
A few notes:
- Remember, you can not use plastic containers for citrus oils, they will eat the plastic.
- Just a note, there are a few different companies that I’m linking to throughout this post.
- If you just need a few containers and need them quickly Amazon has most of these options!
Here goes:
Glass Dropper Drams //
Use these containers to keep samples in purse, or use to giveaway samples. I always have one with peppermint on hand to use as a breath mint. The white lid makes it easy to write on the top of it.
- 5/8 ml amber (12/pk) :: click here
Spray bottles //
Again, I love the cobalt jars and containers & use them for beauty items and the amber for cleaning, I also opt for the white top because I think it’s a cleaner and classic look. Use these glass containers for anything citrus related and your staple products you use, time and again. I typically use plastic containers for items I take on the go.

Need labels for your jars & containers? Use washi tape! It works great because you can easily remove labels if you want to reuse the contain. Plus, they hold up better if they get wet. And if they do get wet you can easily change it!
